ABOUT SICKLE CELL HEMOGLOBIN E 

Individuals with Hemoglobin E Disease will have:

• Smaller than normal red blood cells and target cells

• Mild to moderate anemia

• Slightly enlarged spleen

Normally, individuals with Hemoglobin E Disease have no health problems.
